Our first experience with Bella Vista Motels was as guests. After staying at a number of the properties and meeting the operators an idea formed that this could be something we could both enjoy doing in the future.
The future came upon us quicker than expected when an operator advised us that the Bella Vista in Taupo was nearing completion and was still not sold. This provided us with an opportunity to escape the Auckland rat race and settle in a more laid back location.
The benefits of being part of the group, whilst still having the flexibility of not being tied into a franchise arrangement certainly appealed. This meant we could then put our own individual style into the way we run our business.
Once the decision was made, we packed up house and began our new life. The support from other operators was invaluable in those early months when you wonder what you have gotten in to.
Friendships have been formed and the referral system and Cash Rewards programme work extremely well. These are just a couple of examples of how being part of the group helps generate business in a way that a stand alone property can not achieve.
The success of the group and our individual business has provided us with a lifestyle that has enabled us to start a family. We can now enjoy being able to work together and spend quality time with our young daughter.
We certainly don’t regret becoming part of the “Bella Vista family”.
