In June 2002 we joined the Bella Vista Group when we bought Bella Vista Motel Wanaka. At that stage there were 12 Bella Vista Motels throughout New Zealand and currently the total stands at 26, with more to be built.
The Bella Vista Motel brand is becoming recognized throughout New Zealand for consistency, quality and a high standard in accommodation. This is a unique concept in that we all look the same and can offer the same standard of accommodation, to the traveler and corporate customer throughout New Zealand. We are able to on book you to the next destination that has a Bella Vista Motel “free of charge” which makes for “stress free” travel.
The support we have found by being part of the Bella Vista Group is invaluable. This includes being able to ring your neighboring motel for help with the booking system, computer or just general motel business, as we all run the same systems. There are many advantages of owning and operating a Bella Vista Motel as opposed to a “stand alone” motel, these include benefits of bulk buying and group advertising.
We have up to 2 meetings a year where we get together, including an AGM which is usually overseas. The social side is also a very important part of the Group for networking. Many long term friendships have been formed. We have an enviable lifestyle as we are not tied to the business and can enjoy as much time off as we’d like, with ready made Motel Minders in ex Bella Vista Moteliers. Their past experience ensures the business continues to operate smoothly and efficiently while absent.
We get tremendous support from the Bella Vista Management, who provide us with support and expertise to help us maximize our business potential to ensure the ongoing success of the Bella Vista Group.
